Love the vibes and service here. Staff are so kind and give you great recommendations. They even let us know to wait for happy hour so we could get the best deals on drinks Food was so delicious, unique staples compared to your average Thai dishes. One of the few places that had the same dishes I've tried in Thailand like the ribs! Can't wait to come back and try more.

Booked a reservation here about a week in advance for a Friday evening. Make sure the time you book, all of your guests can make it on time as this place is consistently a full house, despite how massive the restaurant is, and are strict on the 90 minute dining limit. They will also forfeit your reservation if you don't make it within 15 minutes of your reservation time. The drinks menu was a bit overwhelming to order from due to it's uniqueness, but I ended up settling with the E-Tim ($18), which is their version of the Old Fashioned with a spicy twist. They were not kidding when they said the drink was spicy. This was made of Spicy Japanese Whiskey Montenegro, Nam Pla Wan cordial Nam Pla Wan foam (Shallot, Coconut sugar, Egg white) with a Spicy dried shrimp rim. Ping Yang is a must order here. This is their skewers with 12 different grilled marinated proteins or vegetables to choose from served with Sappe Powder. We got the 12 count for $50, which is their best deal. Cannot go wrong, especially with a large party. Tom Yum Tiger Prawn Hotpot ($28) is a spicy and sour Tom Yum, Tiger prawns, mushroom, cilantro, scallion and Thai herbs. It's not your typical Tom Yum that you might be used to as it's super flavorful. One of the recommended dishes is the Laab Ped ($23), which is a spicy Esan style minced duck salad with shallot, chili powder, toasted rice powder, cilantro and crispy duck rind served with a side of fresh vegetables. Mama E-La ($23) is a Pan fried wavy egg noodles in sweet garlic soy sauce, egg, gailan, topped with sauteed beef brisket. Delicious. A unique dish worth trying (after you read the ingredients to determine if you're adventurous enougth) is the Mok Nor Mai ($20). This is an Esan style steamed bamboo shoot, pork belly, spicy herb-paste and basil in banana leaf. Gai Ta-Krai ($16) - Fried marinated ground chicken on lemongrass sticks with side of fresh vegetables. FYI, don't hold these like corn dogs as they will slip off the lemongrass stick and you'll be a sad camper. One of the three hostess ended up coming with the waitress to inform us that our table limit was up and essentially was forcing us to leave immediately. Waitress was picking up all of the finished dishes hastily and got us the check to pay now. So the star deduction is for this. Otherwise, the food here is phenomenal and lives up to the hype.

My stomach is growling just thinking about this meal again. Sappe is Soothr's younger sister that's more fun, likes to party, and packs a punch. I was a little hesitant coughing up $18 for a cocktail but I made the right choice ordering the Somsri. It was refreshing and delicious, and I especially appreciated the spicy plum powder rim. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch the bartenders in action. For the appetizer, I ordered the yum pu dong. While I'm a big fan of Korean raw marinated crab, this was my first time having a Thai version and it was just as delicious. Beware of the pepper seeds though, one got caught in my throat and I almost shed a (happy) tear. The green curry steak was so tender and flavorful, literally the perfect medium rare. I want to come back here and try more of their unique and extensive menu items, but fear that I'll just reorder the same things.

Yum! High anticipation going here because it's from the same chef who started Soothr I believe! The interior is very nicely decorated and vibey. All of the food we ordered was delicious, they also have an extensive drink selection but we passed this time. Can be a little pricey but nothing crazy for NYC. Would recommend for some delicious noodles and Thai food! Grab a reservation and be sure to come here with friends!

We've always been a huge fan of Soothr, so we were excited to try Sappe, their new sister restaurant. The theme gives a diner on the 50's vibe and all the classic songs you love. The restaurant is also huge with an entire back area. Here's a plus, there's more than 2 bathrooms here! They have some shared menu items with Soothr but having had those many times, we opted for the new items. The pork and pork belly skewers were great. I wanted chicken skin but they ran out. The Tom Yum hotpot is similar but slightly different. Still amazing. The garlic pork and egg over rice was super tender and delicious. The staff is attentive just like Soothr. Adi was very good and made us feel welcome. There we two slight issues that prevented them from getting a 5. The kitchen made the mistake and gave us the wrong skewer. We had shrimp and they gave us mushroom. Adi did quickly fix that. The other issue the was weird, is for whatever reason, the woman hostess loves seating people as close as possible even though the entire back area was open. Overall we will come back again. It was a fun vibe and the food was great.

I've been here on two separate occasions and each time it's always been busy, even on weekdays. Sappe is elevated Thai cuisine at higher prices, but with absolutely delicious flavors. There are many different kinds of meat dishes, each with their own spice profile and all were super good. The skewers were some of my favorite, especially the pork belly and the intestines. Definitely would recommend a visit whenever you get the chance!

Sappe is a buzzy place - they've put in so much attention to detail that you get sucked in immediately. Service was really great and our waitress was fun. The menu is huge and only a handful of vegetarian options, but I enjoyed my noods :)

I recently visited this place and, honestly, I think I prefer it over Soothr, its sister restaurant --maybe that's a hot take, but hear me out. The vibe is undeniably fun, and it felt welcoming right from the start. We were a group of six and only had to wait about half an hour on a Saturday. The menu was a delightful challenge; it featured a variety of dishes I didn't recognize, which added to the excitement. Every choice we made was a hit. The skewers were a standout, offering an array of flavors that everyone loved. The larb was a crowd-pleaser, perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. I also can't rave enough about the Gai Ta-Kkrai (chicken meatballs)--they were juicy and flavorful. A regular suggested the Mama E-La noodles while we waited, and they did not disappoint. I'd definitely order those again. Overall, this spot offers a vibrant atmosphere and a unique drink and food menu that sets it apart. I'll be back for sure!

I made dinner reservations for my friend and me since she was coming into town and was easily able to book a table about a week and a half out. I noticed as we got closer to the date it was harder to book a table. As a sister restaurant to one of my faves, Soothr, I was interested to see what they had to offer! It's a small restaurant but the neon lights and colorful decor set up a wonderful ambiance. We shared the mama ee la ($23) and the khao soi ($23). Additionally, I got their Thai tea ($8) and she got a non-alcoholic lychee drink ($8). We were both very impressed with the food. The mama ee la had a sweet noodle part where the beef on top had a different, distinct flavor that complimented the noodles perfectly. The khao soi was delicious and the chicken was so tender. I would definitely order both of these items again but if I were to return I'd definitely be curious to try the skewers!

We came here on a double date and really enjoyed the food!! The vibe is definitely fun and the menu has quite a few options (with photos). We tried the Tom Gai Ma-Kham Hotpot, Tum Thai Kai Kam, Khao Soi Gai Yang and Krapow Moo Khao Kua. Honestly, everything was delicious but the khao soi really stood out. The flavor was amazing! They also have a bunch of food options and beer/wing deals. Had a great time!
